General information
Wellbutrin is used to treat major depressive disorder and seasonal affective disorder. It is used to help people stop smoking by reducing cravings and other withdrawal effects.
Directions
Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results. Wellbutrin can be taken with or without food. Do not crush, chew, or break an extended-release tablet. Swallow it whole. Do not stop taking it without first talking to your doctor. You may have unpleasant side effects if you stop taking this medication suddenly.
Precautions
Before you use Bupropion, tell your doctor if you have allergy, problems with eyes, liver or kidney problems, pregnancy. Aged people can be more sensitive to side effects of the medicine. Wellbutrin can cause seizures in people who drink a lot of alcohol and smoking.
Contraindications
Avoid taking the medicine if you have hypersensitivity to Bupropion. Unacceptable for pregnant and children.
Possible side effect
Drug interaction
Inform your doctor about all other medicines you use, especially: antipsychotics, MAO inhibitors, Furazolidone, Tranylcypromine, Linezolid, antiarrhythmics and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs).
Missed dose
Take the missed dose as soon as possible. Skip the missed dose if it is time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Overdose
If you think you have overdosed the medicine seek emergency medical help at once. Overdose can cause chest pain, sickness, promt heartbeat and dizziness.
Storage
Store your medicines at room temperature between 68-77 degrees F (20-25 degrees C). Store away from moisture and light. Keep it out of the reach of children and away from pets.
