This will further results the biosynthesis of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP).cGMP is the second mediator which makes the intracellular protein kinases active and causes the relaxation of smooth muscles of the male genital area. The relaxation of these muscles results to improved blood flow. This finally leads to desired erection required for a satisfactory physical intercourse.
